About this blog
I’ve been using the Nokia N9 phone for about two years now (August 2013) and so far I have been quite happy with the phone and the features it provides. Currently I’m using it mainly for reading emails, for navigation and for sports tracking (with Meerun and Sports Tracker). Some time ago I had this idea that why not try to program something myself. I don’t have any previous experience with writing programs for the mobile devices or with Qt, just some basic C and C++ skills. However, I would think that within couple of years I should be able to gain enough knowledge to even publish something. I plan to record my findings into this blog so that I can easily continue even if there may be longer breaks between my programming studies (as my family and daytime job sometimes seems to take precedence over these kinds of hobbies).

I’ve downloaded ‘QtSdk-offline-win-x86-v1_2_1.zip’ and installed it, but the directory ‘QtSDK\Madde\toolchains’ is empty 😡 . It’s not possible for me to compile Haramattan programms for the N9! To you have any idea why?
Hi! Did you follow the installation guidelines in http://n9.dy.fi/2015/08/install-qtsdk-1-2-1-with-the-offline-installer? You will just need to select Harmattan under Development Tools when running the custom installation. I did a quick reinstallation and I can confirm that \QtSDK\Madde\toolchains is not empty. There is one folder called arm-2009q3-67-arm-none-linux-gnueabi-i586-mingw32msvc.
