Notifications API setup

Notifications API installation instructions for Harmattan environment

1. Backend configuration

There are Sandbox and Production environments available. Sandbox environment provides tools for testing and trying out. Please see more information from https://projects.developer.nokia.com/notificationsapi/wiki/test

Note! Note that Forum Nokia page instructions are valid for Symbian and screen shots differs with Harmattan.

To change used backend use Notifications environment selector application

1. Install Notifications environment selector application from "notification-engine0-env-selector" package
2. Start Notifications environment selector application
3. Choose Production (mb.ovi.com) or Sandbox (alpha.mb.ovi.com) and close application.
4. Note! Please remember to reboot

2. Account configuration

OMB engine needs Nokia Account for connecting to backend

Use "Accounts" application to create Nokia-account.

Also ag-tool (libaccounts-glib-tools) can be used for account creation in case of testing automation etc.
