The Lock Screen displays the wallpaper (as selected by the user), as well as the date and time. The device is unlocked by a Swiping gesture from any edge of the screen.

The Lock Screen also displays any unread notifications. Swiping the full lock screen reveals the last viewed state. Swiping on a specific notification unlocks the device and launches the corresponding application.
